What is a gift card fundraiser?
In this fundraiser, you can sell gift cards to friends and family, or you can buy some for yourself. For each gift card sold, the buyer gets back exactly that value in a gift card (e.g. Buy a $100 gift card, get a $100 gift card). MFSC is then given a percentage of the total amount of gift cards sold from CO-OP or Spenst Brothers.
You collect the money from each person you sell to. Cheques are preferred (made payable to MFSC) but cash is accepted. Make note of their name, phone number and amount of gift card purchased on the forms provided. Hand in everything at skating on the dates indicated on the information sheet. Gift cards will be returned to you in approximately 2-3 weeks and you are responsible to distribute them to the people you sold to.
Gift cards purchased for CO-OP can be used at any CO-OP grocery stores, gas bars, fashion and appliance/furniture stores, however we encourage to use them locally. Spenst Brothers Meats is a store in Winkler that sells a variety of meats, breads, and prepared meals.

What if I don't want to do the gift card fundraiser?
You may pay a "buy-out" instead. Please see registration page for the current "Buy-out" amount. E-transfers can be sent to mordenfigureskating@gmail.com. Please put your skaters name in the message and "buy-out" in the message.
I applied for funding assistance (JumpStart, KidSport etc.). Can I use this to pay the "buyout"?
No, unfortunately, these programs do not allow you to use their funds for "buy-out" purposes. Funding assistance can only go towards registration fees and in some cases, equipment fees.
